We don’t always talk about WordPress updates here, but since so many of our clients manage their own WordPress websites it’s not a bad idea to let you know when new functionality is available that may impact you. WordPress 3.8 “Parker” was released recently and has some nice features for WordPress website administrators in a more modern presentation/design. The video above is a quick walk-through of some of the new features, and you can visit their website for more details. We always use the latest version of WordPress for new website builds, so 3.8 will be part of all new website builds going forward.

Incidentally, if you currently manage a WordPress website and are curious as to what version you have, you can log in to the WordPress admin area of your site and it will list your version on the Dashboard screen. If you’re not on the current version, you can contact us to learn how you can get it. WordPress itself is free and site updates are normally quick and painless, but some websites have specialized functionality that requires updates take a more diligent and careful approach.
