Job References, owned by Allison & Taylor, is a website that checks your references to find out what your past employers are saying about you. We worked with Allison & Taylor to take the JobReferences site and migrate it to a new website built on WordPress. They were in search of a redesign that looked modern, was user-friendly, and featured a custom order integration for their services.

Here's how we helped them out

WordPress Development

The WordPress site that we developed was much more user-friendly than their past site, featuring a modern design and improved linking structure. On the backend, Allison & Taylor uses a ColdFusion order management system for their products. JobReferences needed to send its orders through the API and into their existing system. We created the custom code to do so and connected it to a complex Gravity Form so that the user has a seamless experience.

Search Engine Optimization

We began with an extensive keyword research process to find what terms are being used to find their services. After determining which key phrases to use and assigning them to pages, we optimized content throughout the site. The mobile-friendly design also helped the site rank in mobile searches. In later projects, we've done more work optimizing the site.

Responsive Web Design

Like our other WordPress builds, we created a design that automatically responds to the size of the screen. This allows for easy-to-read text and a beautiful design regardless of whether they're viewing on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. We tested our design on over a dozen screen sizes to ensure users have a positive experience and are able to browse the site efficiently.

Digital Marketing Assistance

After the site launch, we've worked further with JobReferences on site optimization by helping their writers publish optimized content, and by optimizing new content. We've also assisted them in various aspects of digital marketing such as posting blogs, training their staff on search engine optimization, implementing minor changes on their site over time.

The Results

The new JobReferences website effectively communicates their message, underwent a much needed design update, and is now mobile-friendly. We successfully integrated an order system using custom code that connected their ColdFusion order management system with a complex form. This allows customers to easily request services, which leads to a positive user-experience and higher conversion rate. The site’s optimization was improved, leading to more organic traffic, particularly from mobile searches. While the site is on the first page of Google for it’s keywords, we continue to work on optimizing the site to move it towards the #1 spot.
