Our website property managers keep up with what’s new on the Internet, so they can help our clients constantly improve their online presence. Not long ago, someone mentioned Facebook’s “Save” feature. If you’re anything like me, you encounter great articles on social media, but often at the wrong time. I’ll be standing in line with a few minutes to spare, and then come across a great, detailed article outlining the new features of the latest version of OS X. It reminds me a little of watching TV before the invention of the DVR and VCR (because, yes, I’m old enough to remember that). You needed to adjust your schedule to when the show was on.
Fortunately, earlier this year Facebook introduced a “Save” feature that allows you to flag an item for later viewing. It is not necessarily new, but it may have slipped under the radar for many Facebook users. I know I am pleased to know about it. To save a post, just select the arrow in the upper right corner and pick “Save”. Items you save are available everywhere you use Facebook – Android, iOS or the web – so they are easily found later on. And should you forget about them, Facebook will even remind you of items you have saved but haven’t read yet. It’s like a DVR for your Facebook feed!
