Earlier this year, Gianna Homes inquired about a website redesign. Having worked with them on websites in the past, we were more than willing to help them out! This was our third time designing a website for them, and the process was just as fun and rewarding as the two prior sites. This time around we used our Best in Market build to help them get found in their service area and expand their reach. We wanted to make a site that was modern and beautiful, but was also straightforward and easy to use.
For those who aren’t aware, Gianna Homes is a not-for-profit organization that provides senior memory care. Their homes play an important role in the lives of many families. Gianna provides a comfortable and secure environment for individuals challenged with memory loss. Their memory care is done with kindness, respect, and an emphasis on family. All types of people look to Gianna Homes for professional and loving memory care, and we knew that their site needed to be usable by everyone who might need their help.
For their 2018 redesign the first concern was updating their prior theme, which had started to go out of date. Web Design standards have changed drastically over the past few years, and their site was ready for an updated design. Beyond making the site more modern, simplification and ability to connect with web users were major goals to address. We were tasked with simplifying the navigation to limit the number of clicks needed to get from one important page to the next, as well as improving email and social media capabilities. Throughout the process, we made sure to focus on search engine optimization in order to help their site reach the most people possible who might be looking for memory care.
We started by identifying keywords, as we do with all of our Best in Market builds, and then began structuring the external site with SEO in mind. We took pages that were redundant and either removed or reorganized them to make a more straightforward user experience. Contact forms were made more available, allowing users to easily get in touch. The blog was made more central within the site, which helped Gianna reach more people with their expertise in memory care. We made sure to include social sharing on every page of the site, including it along the bottom of the page. Finally, the new design was updated to be more modern, while keeping aspects of the layout that users appreciated in the old site.
Pages throughout the site were built with the Divi Builder. Using a divi theme allows for quick and simple editing without coding knowledge. This allows Gianna to make adjustments to their website without needing extensive help from a developer.
It always feels great working with businesses or organizations that offer services as important as Gianna’s. We are glad that they have continued to trust us for all their web design needs, and we hope to work with them again in the future. We sincerely hope that our work has helped Gianna Homes to make an impact in the lives of as many families as possible.
