The Scott County Association for Leadership and Efficiency (SCALE) is a unique coalition of leaders and appointed officials from the cities, schools, and townships located within Scott County and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. These members meet to discuss ways that local governments can maximize community development and budget usage. The SCALE website was in need of a face lift and better organization in order to best serve their community partners. 

Here's how we helped them out

WordPress Development

We developed a WordPress website with a unique design that is easy to navigate, and easy to customize. The professional framework runs effectively, and it includes automated features to allow easy communication within the site. After launch we trained SCALE to use the site, allowing them to make their own changes to the site such as adding meeting dates or changing the calendar.

Responsive Web Design

 

Our design is future-proof and responsive, ensuring that users will get the same experience regardless on the device they're using to navigate the site. The old site was built purely in HTML, and didn't include a mobile version. The boxed layout of the new site made for a seamless transition to mobile, and effectively displays SCALE's value to everyone using the site.

User Experience Design

SCALE wanted a site that allowed community members to easily interact with the site. Using an app-style layout, we carefully planned a design with UX in mind. This included the Next Meeting and Calendar link being included on every page, along with clear and easy access to the most important parts of the website. All important information is no more than 2 clicks away, and the layout is easy for anyone to use.

The Results

The new SCALE website includes a variety of tools, a professional framework, and a modern design that will continue to look great for many years to come. The boxed design is clear and easy to use, and also allowed us to include important SCALE news on every page of the site. This makes it easy for SCALE members to find the information they’re looking for. The benefits of the organization are clearly outlined, and the site can be easily changed without needing technical skills or professional developers. The strategic site structure and mobile-friendly page layout will also help more people find the SCALE website and increase interactions.
