Checkerboard Internet Services is offering a digital marketing internship designed to provide opportunities for students to learn more about the industry and feel confident in their first job after graduating. Internships are offered to students who are in or beyond their senior year of coursework. Checkerboard is a small web and marketing agency in Burnsville that is looking to take students under their wing and help grow them into a successful marketing professionals. We like to have fun, but we also work hard to make sure our clients are getting the best service we can give. We are passionate about what we do and want you to be too.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Learn SEO best practices and write meta content to support client SEO initiatives
  • Work with SEO tools and platforms to create keyword maps for client websites
  • Monitor and assist in social media content schedules for Checkerboard and our clients
  • Run SEO reports for incoming leads and assist in the proposal process
  • Manage web updates for support clients as directed by the Program Manager
  • Additional tasks, as assigned

  • Communicate effectively in both written + verbal form
  • Strong writing skills
  • Able to reason through problems
  • Keeps up on industry trends and current seo/marketing standards
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Experience in WordPress is a huge plus
REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing or related fields
  • Able to work at least 10 hours a week, 2-3 days/week
