I wrote an article way back in 2010 about taking better video with your phone or pocket camera. Two years is a long time in tech, and I’m not sure too many people are carrying around pocket cameras anymore. But, more and more people have phones that can shoot video. One of the tips I mention in this article is to always shoot video in landscape orientation – that is, tilting your phone sideways before shooting. I still notice a fair number of videos being shot this way (and witnessing people actually shooting them this way too). So, I thought I’d share an important PSA that discusses the serious problem of “Vertical Video Syndrome”.
(I did find some other videos that covered this topic, but to be honest they were a bit dry and stuffy. So, I couldn’t resist having a little fun and posting this one.)
