Will Facebook pages need an SSL Certificate after the 10/1 Update?

I had someone catch me on Facebook asking me about the new updates coming to Facebook on Saturday.  Here is the details directly from Facebook regarding SSL certificates:

Apps on Facebook Authentication and security migration (HTTPS)

All Canvas and Page tab apps must convert to process signed_request (fb_sig will be removed) and obtain an SSL certificate (for iframe apps not in Sandbox mode) for use in ‘Secure Canvas URL’ and ‘Secure Page tab URL’ (unless you are in Sandbox mode). You must provide an SSL certificate in the Dev App settings to avoid having your app disabled.

If you have a tab which pulls content from a non-secure site you may need a little fix.   This shouldn’t affect many of our customers, but if you have any problems we have a solution ready for you.  It just is a little busy work to correct any problems you may have.
