Congratulations to our first nonprofit nominees in week one of our contest! All of these nonprofits are fully deserving of a new website. Now, it’s up to you to vote for them and share their causes:
Prison Mission Association
Prison Mission Association has been faithfully helping the disadvantaged men and women in prison to change their lives since 1955. Next year is its 60th anniversary. This would be an awesome way to celebrate with your help to expand its reach to help more people! In the last 14 years, over 19,000 have enrolled in this program. They get amazing testimonials of changed lives coming in almost every day! Their program is helping to stop repeat offenders, saving the taxpayers money, helping families and neighborhoods be safer places. They do not charge for any of their services. They provide free life-changing bible correspondence courses in English and Spanish. They have many volunteers who then correct the lessons and help to mail out the lessons each day. They visit and counsel prisoners and help others start new prison visitation programs. They are in need of raising about $1000 per month to cover their costs of printing, mailing out these lessons to all 50 states and several countries overseas. This generous offer and if they win this contest will enable them to achieve their goals of doubling the lessons sent out, doubling the number of prisons they are reaching out to and doubling the lives that are being transformed! Most people have not heard of PMA but with your package that would quickly change!! Vote for them here!
Coalition of Prison Evangelists
COPE is a network of prison ministries that strives to connect and support each other, with education, encouragement, and collaboration of services and resources. The website is a critical tool to accomplish our mission, and to be accessible to all members, and non-members, with access to information the will accomplish our goals, and strengthen the individual organizations. Vote for them here!
Metro Work Center
This organization has been helping adults with developmental disabilities find jobs and learn life skills for over forty years, and while they do great work, their website needs some special attention. Perhaps with a revamp, they could get a boost in notoriety and get more help for their cause. Vote for them here!
Hilltown Community Ambulance Association
I have put this site together from WordPress, but that’s about the extent of what I can do. HCAA is a small ambulance service providing EMS to six rural Massachusetts communities. We have a lot of plans about pursuing programs within our community involving those folks in our population who are medically under-served. A great website would be a huge help for us in terms of being able to get into every home that we serve. Vote for them here!
