Hosting Transfer Process
Checkerboard Internet Services will require
the information:
- List of any email accounts associated
with the domain name(s)
- FTP access to the current Web site
- Access to the domain name management
- All log files associated with the domain(s)
Process:
- Checkerboard will download a complete copy of
your current Web site to our Web server
- Checkerboard will set-up the Web site and any
database connections
- Testing will be done on a hanger Web address
(ie: http://hanger5.checkerboard.com)
- Logs of old Web server will be transferred
to Checkerboard's tracking software
- Email addresses will be set-up on our server
- Once the Web site is working on our server
the domain name transfer request will go through,
taking 24-72 hours to fully complete.
